Travel theme: Pathways

This week’s travel theme gives me an opportunity to pull out scans of some of my old 35 mm photos from Kenya.

First, a road leading to Lake Turkana, a massive saltwater lake in the middle of the desert, and the first paved surface I’d seen after days of driving along a shifting path on the desert sand.

Next, a road in the rainy season in Maasai country, just outside of Nairobi. The 4WD vehicle that came to our rescue some hours later ended up stuck as well. If I recall correctly, it ultimately took a 3rd vehicle to pull the first and the second vehicles out of the muck.

A mistaken pathway.

A mistaken pathway.

And finally, my favorite, some hidden pathway, known only to these magnificent animals.
