Travel theme: Wild

The Galapagos Islands are one of the wildest places on earth. Paradoxically, the animals that live there are also the tamest. Not that they are domesticated; they just evolved for millions of years without interaction with predators, so they never learned fear. The famed blue-footed boobies are so unconcerned about getting eaten that they build their nests right on the ground! Thanks to Alisa at Where’s My Backpack for this excellent photo challenge.
